Unfortunately this is to do with my beloved Island of Cyprus.

PSEUDO CONNOISSEURS WHO EAT LITTLE SONG BIRDS.

A practice that has become synonymous with grilled halloumi , a cruel and unnecessary practice that provides a few grams of meat seen by PCs as a culinary delight, Archidia to that. Birds such as ambelopoulia ought to be seen and not be trapped, netted or shot in order to satisfy the many who consider their meat as superb !!

Nature belongs to all living things , these birds are so beautiful to see, hardly seen any for years. What's wrong with wild mushrooms, ameledita, karaolous and so much other delicasies.

Some years back I witnessed a disgusting culinary cultural practice, I wont go into it other than say monkeys have feelings too !
So I appeal to you all, protect these birds, refuse to indulge in a few grams of meat, try archidhia they are delicious grilled

I bring this particular Pet Hate to the forum again with my apologies if it offends some forumers.

I had an email this morning from a team member of a group of Europeans, professional and dedicated individuals actively involved in the process of eradicating this " cultural" and unpleasant practice, the trapping of birds.

I'm awaiting for permission from one member giving me authority to highlight a rather unpleasant event that occurred recently, a blatant affront to their efforts to tackle this practice. Are we a civilized nation or a lawless entity, in the words of Bananiot, a "Banana Republic".

My love for Cyprus is beyond question, my intense dismay at this practice is also well known.

I care for my island, I will confront acts that bring about a stigma on our island. Not interested if such events also take place in other countries. Paedophilia exists in most countries, it does not mean that if such activity existed or occurred in Cyprus I would defend it by equating this vile practice with other vile acts occurring elsewhere. This is the Cyprus Forum, dealing with what goes on in Cyprus.

I specificaly addressed this point since of all people you are the one who always comes to the defence of any unsavoury practices by reminding us that similar distastefulness occurs in other nations. For a so called scientist your brain does not seem to functioning with any sign of logic. Sorry S but your continued denial of such obnoxious acts renders you incapable of a rational debate.

If you care about a cause, you will care for its occurrence anywhere!

No one comes to the defence of crimes conducted in one place but applauds them if they occur elsewhere. And that is why I said you will now exhibit your baloney-brain.

If you care, you care for all. Kindly cut it or discuss comprehensively .... so that you can unstick from your parochialism.

Nobody in their right mind would condone vile acts anywhere on this planet. What you however seem to do is JUSTIFY vile acts that occur in Cyprus by the same logic exhibited by the forums village idiots,.
Wake up woman, Cyprus has numerous issues to address not least the trapping of birds, business contacted by Mafiosos earning huge amounts of money , in order to satisfy the craving of peasants.
LEAVE AMBELOPOULIA ALONE, Let these beautiful birds add to the beauty of our island not the pickled jar.
Disgusting, ESXOS .

In some parts of the world one would ask " Monkey brains anyone ? "
You see, in some parts of the world they consider the brains of a LIVE monkey as a delicasy, they too would justify this vile cruel practise by mentioning that such disgusting acts occur elsewhere. !!

Yes it does! Mostly the TCs holding half our country (something you ignore). So I say, never forget that!

And where have I justified any vile acts committed anywhere without reminding others of their worldwide occurrence - because in the end, that is what matters most! Complete eradication. Multilateral effort - not political expediency.

- Whereas you on the other hand, turn a blind eye to atrocities and only pretend to care ...

WHO in their right minds would say such a thing as above? You are NOT interested if atrocities take place elsewhere?

Come on, any multilateral change can only begin locally. Locally, people have a chance to make a difference.

The US depends on Americans, Australia by Australians and so on it goes. If there is an issue such as animal cruelty in Cyprus, then Cypriots must focus on this and try to prevent that or improve things. They are unable to do that in other countries.
