My self and my older 75 year old brother have always played " tricks" on each other, although much different in characters , we have always got on and always tried to get one on each other.

He arrived in Limassol on Monday the 10th, a couple of days ago, armed with his ...whistle " sfiriktra" which he always carries with him in order to summon a cab, a waiters attention or just for ...a laugh.

Well the laught was meant to be on me as I had planned to arrive in Cyprus the day before, unbeknown to him, and pick him up from the airport, armed with my own sfiriktra.

It was my oldest granddaughters 11th birthday, on the 11th of the 11th!!. Also my late wifes 5 year mnimosino. Evens were not too kind to me alas ....

After we managed to get the dogs apart, my dog was tied to a lamp post. The other dog was still on the lead when he pounced on me. The Staffs are known for their jaw locking and strength. Many people were trying to get it off me but the more they tried the more the Staff hurt me, as I fell to the ground buckets of water were poured over the dog and a couple of builders were knocking the dog. Police arrived and eventually the beast let go.

The owner of this beast was being aggressive to me as I was on the ground, flat out. The ambulance arrived and begun administering oral pain killers. I have some photos which when I download I will post.

Making a good progress now, fingers and wrist coming back to life and the swelling subsiding.

I love dogs, always have done, and my dog certainly loved me because when members of my staff arrived, the attack was practically opposite my shop, my Lennie steadfastly refused to leave my side. Himself suffering an eye injury and other bites on his head, he is a big strong dog but such a placid dog.

I shall be taking action tomorrow ensuring that this vicious animal gets what he deserves in order to protect other ....young men like me. I have since learned that this dog had bit 3 other people in the past.

Had a call from the police yesterday who informed me that the owner of the guilty dog has given a statement saying that it was MY dog that attacked me !

Two very knid builders who were trying to get the staff off me however gave evidence that it was indeed the staffordshire who attcked me.
