NO. 4
BAD TIME KEEPING.
I love cooking, always have done, my UK and Cypriot family know of my ...culinary skills. When I cook I want everyone out of the kitchen, I do all the preparation and on many occasions I can take more than 3 hours to prepare a feast. I don't just cook a meal I create an abundance of varying dishes as starters, appetisers etc., some hot some cold.
In days gone by I would invite a number of my UK family for a bash, always stipulating that dinner or lunch would be ready at a specific time.
Being in the catering supply business I have easy access to everything needed in the kitchen including Chafing dishes for keeping food hot and in pristine condition. Stopped doing my " parties " now since I would always get annoyed at the tardiness of some of my beloved nieces. Always bloody late, now the hot starters get cold, the cold ones dried up and I get thoroughly pissed off.
You spend 3 hours cooking, including many Cypriot dishes such as kiofdedes, macaroni tou fournou, grilled aubergines topped with grated halloumi with an anchovy on top and the nieces turn up an hour late !!
My Cypriot family know of my intense dislike of tardiness and when they come round the apartment they are always early.
Being a "boss" at work, my staff know not to be late and I must admit they are fantastic time keepers, a good bunch to employ,
after all 3 of them are Bulgarians, never met a nicer bunch, industrious honest hardworking. The lady Bulgarian has been with me for over 10 years, an absolute stunner that turns heads round to take another look. Lovely person, respectful and absolutely gorgeous.
She never calls me by my name always calling me boss, I gave up trying to get her to call me by my name.
So please remember be on bloody time
