The police are currently intervening with brutal force against a demonstration in support of Kobane in the square called Polis Meydanı in Ankara. Note that the Turkish police act with great violence against those who protest peacefully against the threat of genocide, but so-called counterdemonstrators are free to shoot at them using live ammunition - there were nineteen deaths yesterday - even in places where there is a heavy police presence. Is there anybody who can tell me that the Islamist AKP regime in Turkey does not support ISIL after this?

When GR and Vordo utter one word, between them, in condemnation of these barbaric savages, thats when Turkey might intervene against their fellow Islamists !
The West is so naive, they actually believe that Turkey will intervene militarily, no, Turkey simply ...joined the QUALETION !!!

I also heard there are a few thousand civilians in Kobani Tim. Apparently they did not all evacuate completely. Can you confirm this?

Sorry, I am just going by what I read in the press. I don't know.

Tim, is it possible that the USA is using Kobane as a proxy to get the Kurds inside Turkey as well as all the refugees who recently fled Kobane to rise up against Turkey to get the ball rolling to finally divide up Turkey, as the reason why the US and allies are not lifting a finger to help save Kobane? Turkey is now stuck between ISIL in Kobane and the Kurds in Turkey. As soon as Turkey sends in troops into Syria just to show the world that they are not a toothless tiger, but without a UN mandate however, then they will also be facing the Syrian army without the backing of NATO. Turkey is playing for time by not going into Syria as the reason asking the allies to get rid of Assad also, which the allies does not want to do, even if Russia did not intervened to prevent such a thing. It goes to show that Turkey has no influence in the region militarily or politically. I expect the uprising inside Turkey will get much worse, to the point of civil war. Erdogan’s days are numbered the way I see things developing as well as Turkey's as we know it.

Meanwhile and with 21 people now killed in protests inside Turkey, the Nutty Professor and PM of the Turkey/Kurdistan Federation, Davutoglu, is criticising everyone but himself for the mess; including blaming all five Perm Members of the UN Sec Council.

Here's his hysterical rant...

"... "The ones who were silent in the face of the death of 300,000 people in the past 3.5 years, ignoring the use of chemical weapons, SCUD missiles and barrel bombs [in Syria], are suddenly putting an effort to create an international perception as if Turkey must immediately solve the problem in Kobane itself," Davutoğlu said Oct. 8 following a security summit in Ankara. He pointed at Turkey's opposition parties, as well as the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council. ..."

It appears that the some of the band of savage cutthroats that like to style themselves as "Islamic State" - even though they are not - but hate to be called DAESH - are back in part of Kobane. I just hope the brave and spunky men and women of that town can repel them again.
