Are cypriots really European

Postby Mustiejodu » Fri Sep 12, 2014 6:05 pm

Cyprus geographically is in the Middle East or Asia Minor or have I got my geography wrong ? What I do know is it is not in Europe . Do you consider yourselves to be European or cypriots or GC s or greeks . What are you nowadays ?

Yes, we are European!

Certainly not from Mongolia!

Sorry am I missing some thing here ? I don't recall asking if anyone was Mongolian ! I double checked my question and I don't see any query if one considers oneself a Mongolian . Can you elaborate on why you mentioned Mongolian ?

Yes you are Mongolian and foreign to this entire region.

The Israeli's are further East but are also European. Being European is a cultural belonging and part of Western Civilization. We are different to you Turks and Arabs because we have more respect for women, civil liberties, have evolved values and embrace democracy.

There is a clear difference that should be very evident no matter what the PC brigade like to think. Not all races or religions are equal. Some are well within the 21st century while others still in the dark ages.

You see, even Australia, NZ, US and Canada are European. Many Latin American countries are European too! So it is not just a geographical factor. It's about European culture and values above all else!

But Turkey certainly is NOT!

I wouldn't even class Turks as Asian because that would be insulting to some pretty culturally developed and advanced nations like China, Japan, India and Singapore et al.

Yes, Cyprus is the most easterly country of Europe and Iceland is the most westerly. Any more kindergarten questions?

Yes of course we are European
Although the abundance of beards in Cyprus makes one wonder.
Our women dress like Europeans , they wear bikinis to go into the sea , they wear short skirts, they can use mobile phones, smoke if they wish and marry whom they like. It is a cultural thing and not necessarily geographical

Mustie? You still there?
Erdog gonna be shutting down some internet sites in your country chic.
Might even wrap you in a hijab and make you hit the floor 5 times a day.

Good luck.
