That is our choice and she is the Queen of Australia. It is Australia's Monarchy too.

It is a ceremonial figurehead and it is free of charge to the taxpayer but not for the Brits.

No not directly. But the Monarch in Britain does have a cost to the British people, whereas in Australia, the cost is very little.

Don't knock their system of Government because the Westminster System is probably the most workable, fair, and democratic systems of Government which is why the Republican Referendum was lost in Australia. In the end, Australians chose not to end up with a presidential System like the US and Cyprus.

Well, when you think about it and if you include the Dominions just like you did earlier, then you can classify them as still having an Empire, and a rather very large and powerful empire I might add.
