How would you get any "Independence" from Turkey, if by slim chance you were able to from others?

TCs need to be realistic by acknowledging that they don’t have a choice for they are too few, too weak, and completely incapable of determining their future on Cyprus.

There was a time when they thought that by importing mainland Turks they would boost their numbers and thus be able to stand up to the RoC but that seems to have backfired because the imported settlers are steadfastly aligned with Turkey not the “TRNC”.

I agree GR, but what can the ROC offer these people in terms of security and a guarantee of their rights?.when every other day they hear about the shenanigans of theROC, whether it's scamming Brits with the title deeds or politicians bankrupting banks to cops not following Supreme Court decisions....since you say you've been around these Tc and don't trust them one ioata, would you trust them with the security of your family?...try and be realistic they don't trust you and you don't trust them...and why?

The "RoC" has nothing to offer the TCs, dont you think that if what the GCs offered was far better than the current situation they would not fight for it? of course they would. You have to take a hard long look at yourselves before you ask others to trust you, we are not making any such claims.

VP, with all due respect, but it is not to the TC's that the RoC has to offer anything, it is to Turkey. You seem to be living in denial by thinking you still have any effective say, but you have long gone past your sell by date. Turkey has used and abused you for her own strategic interests, yet you still seem to think it is you that is negotiating. No, you are doing Turkeys work by proxy.

I appreciate their are trust issues, but you only look at it from your end, we do not fear TC's, Turkey with its might is our enemy, I think that puts US in more danger than you.

In any case, the TC's future is within the RoC fold, not Turkey for we have seen what Turkey is doing to you.
