It's utterly amazing.

They have a few rooms full of antiquities from Cyprus. There's no mention of how they came by them. Any ideas?

Yes, it really is amazing.

I had the chance of visiting the Cypriot collection in NY some years ago and I was shocked by how spectacular it looks like.

The craftmanship is superb. :shock: :D Probably one of the best exhibits of the museum.

Soon after they were excavated, they were looted by US ambassador Cesnola, who "bought" them from the filthy Ottomans in the 19th century. :twisted:

Elgin was an ambassador too, if memory serves. The profession was a den of thieves in the past.
