...is this article a well balanced review of Cyprus History?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

As if the TMT ever stopped working for the goals set in the 1950s and the slate could be wiped clean. You remember the name of Kutchuk's, our "vice president's" party? Let me remind you "Cyprus is Turkish". There were Turkish army people commanding TMT all the way through till 1974. It is all historically corroborated. Look it up.

bullshit and you know it. from 1960 onward the only thing mentioned was taksim because you boys were hell bent on enosis. check your facts my friend. what happened before 1960 was wiped by the agreement. like i said before when you begin to honour your agreements we will begin the solution of the problem. you also signed a high level agreement on bbf too but fat chance you accepting it. so there you have it. two countries. you will get exactly what you deserve. people generally do.

"20 January 1957

After the bomb incident, Dr. Fazil Kutchuk, leader of the “Cyprus is Turkish” Party, appealed to the Turks to exercise restraint. He told a crowd of several thousand cheering people that Cyprus would have to be partitioned if the British Government rejected Turkey’s proposals put forward in answer to the Radcliffe constitution.

Dr. Kutchuk has returned from Ankara after three weeks’ stay there, and was accompanied by Professor Nihat Erim... and Mr. Suat Bilge, who are going to London for further consultations with the British Government... (“Turkish Mob Fire Greek Property,” The Times, 21 January 1957, p. 6.)"

You desperately need to wipe the slate clean and forget the 50s and the process that started back then. The one that ended in Enosis of the north with Turkey.

You betrayed Cyprus.

Without enosis there would never have been taksim, when will you get this into your thick skull? of course we fought back, this a natural reaction if you ignore a large portion of your population on matters which will gift ones homeland to another country, how would you like enosis with Turkey?

You managed both taksim and Enosis in the north. You tell us what Enosis feels like.
