look, being a Sporting Superpower (literally) we are use to many countries using us as their yardstick including many small non serious midgets like cyprus!

AFC Ajax - APOEL Nicosia

This match is basically the group’s battle to secure a seat in the Europa League whereby APOEL needs a win whereas Ajax only needs a draw, so theoretically we *should* see a more attacking Cypriot side.

It doesn’t look like APOEL has learned anything from this tournament yet because they just keep repeating the same mistakes over and over.

First of all the defensive wall must come FORWARD by at least 10m so that it just passes the center line thereby taking the pressure off your goal area and increasing your chances of having successful counter attacks.

Second, some of the APOEL players still don’t seem to understand the difference between Cypriot and European football rules whereby hard tackling is ALWAYS punishable as in the case of the unnecessary penalty at 45”. The penalty was a gift to Ajax.

Unless APOEL moves their entire team FORWARD by at least 10m they don’t stand a chance of scoring two goals to take the win.

A lot of people in Cyprus are praising Donis but in my view he’s pretty useless.

Another thrashing for APOEL… I sure hope APOEL doesn’t win the Cyprus league this season because I can’t stand another CL with this kind of junk play!

We need new blood in Cyprus… hell I’d rather watch Apollon than these losers!

I was actually gonna predict that score line but thought i would be nice to Apoel which is why I predicted 3 - 0 instead!
