Who knows, one day maybe. Probably more chance of seeing that than seeing England win again (I was three days old the last time England won)

Maybe when Turkey (Asia Minor) is annexed by Greece.

From your own link ;)

"Fatherland" was first encountered by the vast majority of citizens in countries that did not themselves use it during World War II, when it was featured in news reports associated with Nazi Germany.[2][3] German government propaganda used its appeal to nationalism when making references to Germany and the state.[2][3] It was used in Mein Kampf.,[4] and on a sign in a German concentration camp, also signed, Adolf Hitler.[5] As such, the word "Vaterland" and the near English translation "fatherland" are is often connotated with National Socialism outside Germany

Still good enough for Hitler and the Nazis so I guess it good enough for you.

Well that's a bet ill take - England or Turkey to win the world cup before Turkey is annex by Greece. What odds you offering ?

Anyway I did all right the last couple of days, though its a shame France could not beat Ecuador, if they had I would have done a lot better.

Overall I am around 190 up and that includes my 100 loyalty bet on England to win the WC before the tournament started :)

And in case any of you think I am an inveterate gambler the last time I placed a bet (well had it placed for me) at a bookies was back in 1977 - £5 on Red Rum to win the grand national (for the third time), which he did do.

 You are another deluded fool. Hitler and the Nazis copied many Greco-roman symbols, like the so-called svastika, the eagle, etc., but that's totally irrelevant.

"Patris" simply means land of our fathers.
