If FIFA were to change the way they form the qualification groups and populate them by ranking alone, all group leader seats would be occupied by Euro/South American teams, plus the USA (13th) and Algeria (22nd). Very few rest-of-the-world teams, if any, would manage to qualify. THAT would be the best cup to watch, but it wouldn't be a WORLD cup

Yes and at the same token, Australia would also qualify for the 1998, 2002, 2006, 2010 World Cups because they were also in the top 20. Ergo, right up there!
