Askin the impossible

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

VP, everything we discuss re a settlement is based on conjecture, because our politicians, from both sides, revel in secret diplomacy. In that sense everything we discuss falls into the realm of bullshit. The reports were published in Cyprus daily Phileleftheros and in the Greek daily Vima, both prestigeous papers in their respective areas.

If these talks were carried out on live TV I am sure there would have been a settlement a long time ago. But then there would be no salaried positions of negotiators, with staffs, official cars (with those cute little flags), security details, meetings with foreign dignitaries, "high level contacts", careers for the children (negotiators meet helpful people) etc. Just think how much of this we will have when we get a quadruple layered buraucracy- local, regional, federal, EU. Mashalla mas!

You will hear a lot of these during the negotiations NIkitas.
It all derives from each side's attempt to portray the other side as "bad".
Our side are not saints you know...
What might have happened is the perhaps they asked to have a TC commissioner on either a rotating schedule or some pass over of the portfolio from a GC to a TC commissioner.
This is a political forum we should be wiser in beleiving "unbeleivable" news.
