...the same worry is starting in Canada, because as Canadians, Jihadists return, their 'war' experience adding to the credibility they have, as activists. within the Muslim community there is an outcry, it is they that are sounding the alarm, and it is their children affected by the issue. it does not seem that the Government has reached out to this leadership yet, in any significant manner, in their efforts, although the issue will boil to a head, given that there are trials in process for terrorist activities which occurred in Canada.
...and the so-called Charter of Values, in Quebec, was not defeated. although the Party which supported such a defence was; accommodation, and integration remain at odds. dividing the people by religion was an easy political tactic leaving urban dwellers at a loss, overwhelmed by what are rural fears, oddly enough under one God, forbidding religious expression of any kind (instead), if you are a school teacher, a nurse or doctor, a civil-servant, a Judge, a Prison Guard, Fireman or Policeman, and even if you do business with the Government (Municipal or Provincial) no overt religious symbols can be worn or displayed.
Jihadists are a threat because they provoke an equal and opposite extreme; all the more reason for a balance to be created so that in these extremes there remains a diversity which is enriching to the whole (choosing where you, you personally sit on this bar does not preclude its purpose, while "it" sits on a fulcrum); as a State, not picking sides so to speak, acting more if it must, as a referee. one expects more of the tools Communities need to divert the attention of youth, offer choice (as in school/jobs/parks), thus demonstrating the will in defending Universal Principals, demonstrating a confidence in people as the People. Britons, like Canadians and Americans, or Europeans, Indians, and Australians (to name a few), are committed to acting, above anything else as Human beings, without any other distinction or discrimination, as well as their own distinct identities as Persons. Jihadists are more like Golden Dawn, their threat is that "everything else" is for plunder, or to be destroyed. not one Nation, or Religion, Country or State, represents a conflicting view to their own, it is not that their acts threaten the State/Nation/Religion (left wing/right wing (of their origin)) per se, the State (the very idea) itself is under threat, it is not that they are dangerous, per se, it is that they are a danger. "they" (and the labelling as such according to "their" Agenda) is, the, danger (what sticks, of their sense of entitlement, in any case becomes expensive to the rest).
...I know I am not one of "them", and i also know that an "us'' (as in Freedom and Democracy) must include everyone.
