I understand.

I will help you understand also though. I HAVE lived in the west and understand that ideology lives only in your head. If you don't cover your back you will be eaten alive. You see whT you AND Pyro don't understand is I am not an armchair activist. I do not get my information from the Net like you two. I have met, in private meeting people of importance and the general public and have spoken in length. Some have agreed with me and some have not. It mostly I have listened. I have bothered to go to the LSE to hear lectures from all sorts including YOUR "president". I don't talk out of my arse like you do and pin my hopes on ideology. I don't put my people in danger because I have this plan I have to sell no matter what. A one shot pony like you. I think the famous term is " you can't handle the truth".

Anyway. Have to go meet another important part of TC life who is over here at the moment. See what he has to say. I might get a bit more information that does not involve sitting on my own trawling the internet for misinformation.

So who are 'the people' in Cyprus Kikapu ? There has to be something that binds the individuals together to make a 'people'.

This would be the same democratic EU , that on a whole range of issues in its area of competency, gives the RoC veto powers and representation totally disproportionate to its' population size ? Do you understand why a 'democratic EU' gives such representation total divorced from sheer numerical numbers in so many areas? Why such is not just compatible with the EU being democratic but is actually a requirement of it being democratic ? Do you understands why in a body like the UN to take one example, the RoC has an equal voice (in the general assembly) as RoC (China), which has a population around 2000 times greater ?

You doubt that more Turks who voted, voted for AKP than any other party ? On what basis are you calling Turkey a dictatorship ?

Democracy as in where all citizens are treated equally, which is the catalyst that binds individuals to make the "people" of any country, Erolz. Cyprus as a whole never had True Democracy in it's history, is the reason why the people did not bind together. Without True Democracy for Cyprus, people of Cyprus will never bind to become "one people", and there are those who are doing everything to deny for Cyprus to have "one people" by not wanting True Democracy for Cyprus.

The "Democratic EU" is a club and not an individual country, therefore club rules do apply, which are no different than your local Golf Country Club or a Pub landlord or restaurant owner who can refuse to let you become a club member or serve you if he doesn't want to for what ever reason. Don't mix your oranges and lemons, Erolz. That is their Democratic rights to do so if they wish to, and some do.

My God, Erolz, now you are talking like Erdogan for God sake. Just because he was Democratically voted into power, he tells the world that he can then do what ever he pleases and ignore all the other pillars of Democracy. This is why at the moment Turkey in a Dictatorship Turkey because Erdogan does what ever he wants, including "his police" murdering demonstrators at will without consequences to them or fire prosecutors, Judges and police officers who investigate his "Godfather" like illegal actions. Hitler was too elected Democratically, as Chancellor of Germany was he not? Was Germany not a Dictatorship under Hitler, or that doesn't count, just because Hitler got more votes than anyone else Democratically?

No contradictions Zan. Erolz was basically stating, and wrongly I may add, that Democracy ONLY means one just need to be elected by the majority.

Obviously, you seem to think the same way as Erolz and Erdogan, if you are seeing contradictions in my post regarding Democracy!

But then again, when it comes to Democracy, this is what you had to say few years ago, "don't ask me anything about Democracy, because I don't know anything about it"!

Your beloved Annan Plan which was full of Racist and Fascistic policies did not even make it to the first hurdle, so I would put down Democracy if I were you.

Funny thing is Zan, you once opened your own thread on "Democracy". You didn't/couldn't contribute much to it and it only just got into page 2. Says a lot about your views and knowledge on Democracy, does it not?

I think it was your lack of contribution that told a lot more

Again, what I said I didn't understand was the inner working of who is in the lower house and upper and so on.....still don't. That has nothing to do with the whole concept and you trying to sell it to us as the be all and end all of all our problems  i do know a man who does though 8) http://faculty.frostburg.edu/phil/forum/PlatoRep.htm. He seems to be saying what I said at the beginning in an isolated Amazonian jungle style. Leave it to the elders (knowledgable). D. Are you in agreement? Should the public not be allowed to vote? Sounds undemocratic to me :x

I don't FULLY understand what goes on in your head but I know that there is something wrong with it 8)
