Right... so err... what happens on a bad day... like what's your record defeat 25-0?on the way things look, Spain might get run over by this Australian Team and they got nothing to be afraid of.
Yeah, I've just heard that Spain has bribed your manager big-bucks so you don't hurt them!
On a good day, Australia is ranked in the top 10 in the world and nearly wins U17 and U21 World Cups.
They have won the FIFA World Confederations Cup 4 times (1980, 1996, 2000 and 2004) and beaten South American Champions and Euro Cup Champions to do that.
Mark my words Get Real, the Aussie team has won some really serious international honours as you would expect from any international Australian Team. Tough as nails and always they punch well above their weight.
Didn't they just get hammered by Chile 3-1?
There's really no competition to European and South American teams.
Did you watch the game? We got the same European commentary as you and they Australian team did outplay them for a good 45 to 60 minutes and the Chili were very lucky because Australia could have easily scored 3 goals and they were unlucky to not be awarded a clear penalty.
It's a very young team. The Captain is 24 years old. Australia is the youngest team in the tournament. lol
They are a pretty solid team with excellent prospects. Oh, and most of the Australian Team is actually European. Most of the starting 11 play for top european clubs apart from Cahill who scored the goal.
Do you remember recent stars like Viduka, Kewell, Farina, Bosnich and Lucas Neill. Kewell was top scorer in the EPL for a couple of years running when he was Leeds United top striker. At one time he was worth about $60 Million. What's the total worth of Apoel? Fuck all! Lunch money for an Australian A League club!
Furthermore, Chili's 3rd goal came in the 92nd minute after Australia was pressing hard in attack, leaving the defence open to counter attack. They were trying to win as I would expect from them.
