It's got nothing to do with that.

Ukraine was looking at joining the EU and were granted Association Membership which Yanukovych declined and the majority of Ukrainians did not like that so they took to the streets and he had to flee the country. He literally abandoned his post, country and went to mother Russia. No Coup needed.
