The Cyprus Flag, does it still fly in occupied Nicosia?



It has been several months that I've been following the travail of two shop keepers who find themselves "arrested", for flying the Flag of Cyprus, in Cyprus. Worse is the Justice denied, with delay after delay (I suspect because there is no Law to prevent this act), and as of yesterday (Aug. 26, 2014) their last appearance, it has been delayed again (from my unconfirmed sources), to an unknown date; is this possible, worse is the fact that this case is ignored by the Press, why, I ask, when it is very much news, for Cyprus, and about Cypriots, too?

Cinel Senem Husseyin and Koray Basdogrultmaci deserve better than this, (if, you've said once to yourself, "I love Cyprus"). So does the Flag of Cyprus, which should fly higher in any case, whether Greek Flags, or Turkish Flags fly as well.

...this the third delay if not condemned, if not reported at least, sends a strong message on such a festive day in Turkey, and with the new President's visit soon, to Mr.Eroglu's occupation regime, yet, Cypriots, should be made aware of this case, we are not only "Turks", and not "Turks" (read: "Greek"), and it should not be buried.

...my hope is that you will agree, there are readers like me who feel it is important to follow-up on this story; how essential can you get, not allowed to fly the Flag of Cyprus: that's news.

Unfortunately we don't have a Turkish Cypriot correspondent at the moment so were unable to get any details yesterday. If you have any info you could pass on, we would be more than happy to cover the story.
