MRfromNG thank you very much for your kind words and acknowledging the flack I take on this forum for expressing the opinions of the majority of average TCs. Apologies for the attacks you are now facing from those idiots that take what you say twist it into their own warped mindset and then try and get other to believe it, stupid is stupid and no matter how much you try to express your viewpoint they will still be stupid and in the grand scheme of things dont really have a say or count.

Amazing how reality suddenly kick in! Today, we only have two scenarios....it's either a Federation similar to that of the Former Annan Plan - which would be bad for BOTH Communities, or clean Partition with a Twist (the TRNC as an EU member), which could be dangerous for Turkey! I say this as I am not entirely convinced that Turkey would be completely happy with that scenario. An TRNC Recognised and in the EU - not sure, as it would limit Turkey's power in the north and automatically implement all of the EU's laws (at all levels, including freedom of movement and settlement!). That is why I am convinced that NOTHING will happen on the Cyprus issue....

We'll have to wait, and wait!

MrH the twist also includes giving a lot of land back for tc recognition.and yes turkey will not be happy with a tc state in the EU.Finally someone gets it and it's a Turk,the point of these articles especially from a Greeks point of view is eliminating turkey from the equation.

Turkey would love the "TRNC" as an independent state in the EU. and of all people, Kanli and that propagandist from the crisis group with his sponsored-articles have come up with it. Your playing straight in to their hands.

This move is not possible because they cant follow and observe the EU acquis now and are in violation of it. They want it all their way, like Turkey.

The EU does not want them. They are not going to cede power to some Turkish renegades so they can have a separate state and a veto in the EU because Turkey occupies some Cypriot European land and does not want to give it back...

Look at the TC commenters here, they didn't want the EU before but as soon as someone mentions the prospect of a separate independent state in the EU, they want the EU. The hypocritical Tools.

They will not qualify, but will run in to the sunset sticking their fingers up at you with their separate recognized state

I agree completely, so to is the idea of the "TRNC" becoming an EU member state or that the TC's claims to special rights and that they are a nation.

Separation, compensation and an end to the occupation of north Cyprus is the only answer. Its the only way the Turks can regain credibility, trust and provide the ingredients to build an honest relationship with its neighbors.
