indeed, it seems unjust to see an Individual vote from a home illegally occupied, I would suspect that many who are in this situation would rather remain uncounted, perhaps they should be, but I am not so quick to judge without acknowledging their Individual past. I have said it before, the debate is wrongly framed, and nowhere is there Representation for Cypriots, as Cypriots, the debate as it is excludes them (an identity); there are "Greeks" and "Turks" who are the same in acting unchangingly/there are those who see Cyprus as an island and who think it is worth more to them as Cypriots, and as Individuals, having Freedom for All, because it can include the self representation of Persons, Liberty in this sense, for themselves.
...my guess is the Role as it exists, is more a list of Party supporters, willing to vote, and as such we see a reflection, in this election, of the patterns seen in the Presidential election. if Turkish Cypriots voted en masse within the EU elections, as Cypriots, as a distinct minority, even as things are arranged today, they would yield exceptional power in the balance of things. the only reason not to vote if you are Turkish Cypriot, is if you do not want a Cyprus, everything should be done then, to get all the voters to get out and vote. distasteful or not, (to the overwhelming population), it is what is the State, and what the Republic must stand for.
we are what we are and that is all we are.
The civilizations and political spheres that each community belongs to are clear. They are different and separate. What is the real issue here? GC's independence, property theft, north Cyprus, a Turkish occupation, deceptions and manipulations by "Turks" in Cyprus.
