Ok, but of course your guess as to what God may look like is as good/valid as anyone else’s... :)

That "God" is one of the most cruel and vindictive arseholes ever,

Convince us with some evidence.

...and I doubt any God could be like that,

Based on your experience with other Gods?

By definition, God must mean a superior being, entity, spirit or higher power.

In order to be superior, then this entity must be good and righteous, and not an arsehole as depicted by all the religions such as Christianity and Islam.

As a result, if there is a heaven and hell, such a righteous being would be looking to save as many spirits as he possibly can and not condemn anyone to an eternity of suffering. That includes Atheists. To be superior he would not be a cruel and jealous God otherwise he might as well be human.

It's an educated guess.

And, I am not the one making the claims. I am Atheist remember. So you're the one that has some proving to do!

I honestly haven’t come across anything in the bible that would warrant the “arsehole” label and that’s why I’m asking you to point me to an event whereby God deserved this label.

I would describe God as stern at most but then again I wouldn’t expect a God to be negotiable with an ant!

It took the foolish Egyptian Pharaoh 10 devastating calamities (as an example) before he realized that God was non negotiable! How hard headed and daft can one be? Who was the real irresponsible arsehole in this story?

As a parent I’m sure you demand a level of respect from your children and would be cross if you didn’t get it… now put that into perspective with if you were a God commanding an ant!

Well then, it took Osama Bin Laden 10 years before he realized the US is non negotiable! So who was the irresponsible arsehole?

No I can never be that cross with my kids and would prefer to be treated as their best mate which are confident enough to confide in me without fear of retribution for honesty. Sorry, but it looks like we have different parenting styles!

When I was in the military you expect respect and you play on some element of fear from subordinates hence the Kapsonia but my household is not a boot camp.

It's also something you quickly need to unlearn in the civil arena.

That's exactly when we as parents need to be at their level and their best friend if you like. There are too many nasty things that teenagers can potentially be exposed to so the biggest key is that they trust their parents are do not fear them. That is my opinion anyway what I intend on doing. I am certainly no expert at parenting either! lol
