Stop playing with words and try and address the issue at hand.

In case you haven't heard, the sovereignty of the Republic of Cyprus cannot be compromised. Direct flights to an airport that is not controlled by the governments civil aviation would do that. Should you hand over control of the airport to the relevant govt authorities then this would be no issue. I bet the majority of staff hired there would be tc's.

We're requesting a GC's major town that is closed off by your army to be returned to its original owners. A request entirely within the rule of law.

You're requesting a breakaway state recognized by no one of significance in the world stage to be given a recognized airport ran by an unrecognized government that does not abide by any international rules and regulations on land held by an occupying army. A request entirely illegal.

See the difference?

Then can you explain the goodwill of the GC side in return for the opening of Maraş?

You don’t get your arse kicked all the way to Timbuktu, so how’s that for goodwill?

Seriously, Turkey should step aside and let Cypriots sort the Cypriot affairs and you'd soon have the CyProb solved 100% guaranteed.

...as I've said before, the Republic should not be taking sides, it is a matter between constituencies to figure out their needs, and to present this desire for Charter.

So you demand we give away our best bargining chip for nothing and ask Turkey to step aside so you can walk all over us. This is definately goodwill going only in favor of Gcs, thats hardly fair and you be a very stupid individual if you think Tcs would agree to such rubbish.

gcs are offering nothing for opening maras. magusa port is not like ercan and is not closed to international traffic. if they were serious they would open ercan to help tc economy to develop and be less dependent on terkey. judging by the level of intelligence of the average gcs on here and assuming it is a true representation of gcs in general, i am afraid the the gc problem will last till the end of time itself. i make that 7.5 billion years.
