Nope, Defo didn't fancy being at the Playboy mansion of Eroglu.

Yep. No film crews inside either. Nor was the so-called ‘Foreign Minister’ Ozdil Nami allowed to attend so as not to imply recognition of the pseudo-state. Don't even think Biden made any statements to the press after. Nothing more than a courtesy visit to the leader of the TC community on the island.

I think the message was loud and clear: Don't pin your hopes on recognition of the pseudo-state.

...as I said, a Cyprus Flag, would have kicked ass and made Eroglu front page news, (he may have snuck "his" flag on stage as well) but as we know although not illegal, in the north one would be disturbing the peace, to fly it.

...a visit very worthwhile.

Well, he did shake the guys hand, he could not, not really otherwise it would have been just plain rude. The body language says more though, like get me outta here!

actually bill, dial-up has become "so slow" that it was impossible even to get mail (the software being that much bigger), (needless to say my bill went from 7$ to 65$), it will be a year in august that I have access to moving pictures as in you-tube; now my machine is too old (not fast/powerful enough) for more than that. thanks though for the consideration, we too often forget the ones who have to serve their needs, the least.

Biden knows the reality of the situation in Cyprus. He has been in the USA Senate since 73. He co sponsored resolutions and bills against Turkey, with Ted Kennedy, during and after the invasion. And the significant Greek/Cypriot constituency in his home state of Delaware keep reminding him of the situation in Cyprus.

You people are really pathetic you have analyzed every little move inorder to get some gratification that no recognition is involved, the second man from the USA went accross the border and visited the TRNC president, however much you wanna play this down its a great victory for the TCs, we are in the equation and have to be taken into account if Cyprus is to be united, this must make you morons sick to your stomaches. But hey you go ahead and have your little climaxes that he didnt remove his glasses or didnt shake Eroğlus hand (which he did and before Ananannsnsisistis) you miss the bigger picture, its BBF with two sides being consulted.

Notice the propaganda bias reported: ... "the US Vice President Joe Biden will come together with President Derviş Eroğlu and the leader of the Greek Cypriot administration Nikos Anastasiadis ..."

WTF, you have to laugh when even the toilet papers report this.... Have't they heard Mr Biden state that the USA and he and the world recognises ONLY the legitimate RoC government of Cyprus.

'President' Erogluy my arse. Keep on dreaming assholes.

Revelation from the Republic's Foreign Minister, Mr Kassoulides, that the proposals, which many were expecting to be announced at the end of Mr Biden's trip, for the expert examination of the structures and infrastructure of the Occupied City of Varosha included a racist insistence from the "trnc" side that technicians from the Free Areas would not be allowed to take part in the surveys.
