I have read through everything that has been commented over the couple Koray and Cinel... First of all I want to say that everything that xxxx xxxxxxxx has tried to do for this couple has always been in their best interest.. she has said straight from the start "this must not turn political at all, you did not display your Cyprus flag for political reasons, you displayed them for your right to be Cypriot in your homeland of Cyprus" Because that is exactly why most of us have our flags displayed in our homes, as I do. xxxx was very aware that some people may try to use this couple for their own agendas which would be political and which would be used as an example for why Cyprus should not be united, she also felt it would be a common ground for the two leaders to see that so many people want to be Cypriot without labels of TC or GC. But the most important thing here was that the couple behaved in a way that would not provoke. Unfortunately Koray began to listen and take advice from other people who most certainly did not and do not have their best interest at heart. On more then a few occasions I have begged xxxx to not participate due to Koray's behaviour change, things were getting dangerous for all reasons.. She felt she could not just abandon these people.. Yesterday before we went to the courts I said to xxxx, " if Koray pulls the same stunt as last week I am just getting up and leaving, he has to be respectful of everyone there showing their support and put no one in any danger and he has to listen when he is told not to retaliate to provocation." I expected the crowd of Mainland turks to be outside the courts... and as it has been said if anyone residing in the south had flown a Turkish flag the outcome would have been exactly the same, and with the same kind of group outside the courts in the south.. My first words to both Koray and Cinel was "please don't let them provoke you, ignore them and stay focused and calm". But no Koray took the Cyprus flag from his car and as expected everything erupted. At the time this was going on all I could do was look at the horror on their child's face , she was rooted to the spot and just watching this crowd full of hatred and violence , rush towards her parents.. I pulled her away and xxxx produced some sweets for her, but even though she now couldn't see she could still hear. I made my choice to walk there and then... yes I am a Cypriot, yes I want our homeland united, yes I will attend any joint project working toward peace . xxxx feels exactly the same and I am angry at Koray for taking everything good that xxxx has done for them and turned it into this... Since Koray is now taking advice from those hiding in the shadows he should at least be honest with their names of his new friends because its not fair that Tina is getting the backlash of the route he has decided to take and with whom.
xxx you are one of the people I love most in my life and I wont sit back and watch your name be torn apart over something that has nothing to do with you. I am very proud of what you have done for this couple, what you have done for many other causes that have nothing to do with Cyprus but with everything to do with humanity ..... I am proud of you that you are not afraid to stand up and voice yourself and most of all have the voice for those who don't. I am honoured to be your friend and I hurt for you in the way you have been let down in all of these by the very person you tried to help, when bearing in mind, no one else wanted to.
The only thing that's "interesting" is fair-weather supporters walking away, people who see "trnc" under threat, "trnc" insulted and undermined and these are the "charges" against the Very Brave CY Couple and ultimately loyalty to the "trnc" message is terribly important to these people.
At the very heart of the matter it isn't just about a flag, it's about a right to political dissent in the trash-can of "trnc".
Koray and Sinel have shown the most huge amount of courage and they continue to show it and it's their right to make the decision to continue their stand or otherwise, and it's deffo a brave stand that deserved a lot more than the "trnc"-supporting and cowardly drivel disguised as concern expressed above.
Friends, we know from experience if you step out of line in "trnc" you will get the book thrown at you, backed up by the "trnc's" Stormtroopers, the Grey Sheep (and we know Lordo sympathises with these murdering scum-bags), they will appear with their Turkish flags and attack and threaten
... and fair-weather friends like Cousin Jello will find a hundred and one reasons to look the other way.
