Is the recognition of the TRNC just around the corner?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

:lol:I was tall in Indonesia. Lean, in America. Athletic, a few years ago. Intelligent, on a good day. Masculine, except on our girls night out. Cypriot, I’ve never been into nylon shirts and Farah trousers.

I agree that generalising is wrong, and so is stereotyping, but people do it all the time because they get really frustrated.I am really frustrated by this mentality that it is OK to do something wrong because the other side is doing something worse.

So just because others are doing it, you thought you should do it too. If you really believe generalizing it wrong you would have retracted your statement and appologized for it, not supported it by the fact that turks are generalizing about greeks all the time. Birkibrisli what is happening to you these days? You are not like your true idealistic self, I can sense you are becoming increasingly anti-turkish and racist.
Hate the turkish government as much as you want, criticizing Erdogan is fine, condemn Turkish policy on Cyprus, but do not say that the turkish people are incapable of reaching progress because of their mentality.
This is so much unlike yourself birkibrisli, and I am disappointed.

Hi,bg_turk
I am sorry to disappoint you.I disappoint myself too sometimes.
I think these people are getting to me.I hope I am not becoming anti-turkish and racist.I abhor racism and discrimination.I have lost my identity and sense of belonging together with my homeland once because of nationalism(I will need to say both Turkish and Greek nationalism from now on!),and now they are doing it again. How can you progress with the mentality that says if you are a Turkish Cypriot you must hate the GCs,never trust them, and never dare to utter the words unitary state, human rights, democracy based on majority rule,or rule of law?And it is treason to criticise your own side.

But at least you and Zan are still speaking to me.That means more to me than you realise.

Cyprezokyli

ATCA= Association of Turkish Cypriots Abroad.

They are a lobby group and their aim is = Respect, Equality and recognition and are in favour of the TRNC.

Before I go on, so am I. My reasons for supporting them I have stated before.

There are some there that go over the top sometimes but I think most of it is par for the course as is with some people on this site. They do not want unification and sometimes their response to any one suggesting it is harsh to say the least. The idea is what I support. I have to add that the majority of the GCs that do write on the site have been antagonists and they are not backward in telling these people where to go. They could be a little bit more patient with some who just want to discuss the issues but…..

There are many more GC sites that I have encountered that are exactly the same so my excuse is this is the answer.
