Israel is the most important ally Cyprus could have purely to proximity.

If it comes down to a choice, it should be US over Russia. Cypriots are just so STUPID for even considering the Soviets and you paid a big price for it and in the end the Soviets just stood by and watched!

The non-alignment movement/Soviet Block alliance was Cyprus' downfall.
