I believe Germans and South Africans can say the word "nigger" and feel comfortable with it, but I expect more from you.

Even the word "negro" is not acceptable by most.

Of course, American blacks just prefer to be called "blacks".

The days of the word "coloured" is also over.

If you called a black person a "nigger" in the States, they would "whoop your Honky Cypriot ass", for sure.

By the way, the same rule does not apply to blacks. A lot of "trash talk" includes, calling each other "nigger". Don't ask me why.....please.

Now she will be convinced that all those stories she has heard about TCs are true!!! I was looking forward to her explanation as to why her parents would've disowned her had she married a TC....

Actually when i first came to cyprus i didnt even know much about the situation here and the person closer to me to explain a little was my husband, but after years of speaking to others much older and wiser listening to other stories i see many different aspects of what happened. i do not think the tc are bad people at all i was pointing out to the minority who have to be so rude, i said one day i hope the tcs can have back what they lost and someone informed me that he knows many people who dont want back what they lost and are happy where they are. in heat of discussion i said my parents would disown me i dont know that for sure never really tested them on that, it was a thought i said it out loud to you nothing more was meant. everyone has different views on here it shouldnt get so heated and nasty when we just voice our opinion even if sometimes it does come out in the wrong way..
