Believe it or not Kikapu, I was in Germany the other day and the German manager was trying to force me adopt some safety measures that stupid EU has now forced in our job and you know what the German manager said when I said it's a waste of money?

There is racism everywhere my friend, and yes I believe the German manager used the word niger in a racist way.
However I used it just to describe a black person.

I believe that you did not mean in in a racist way, but sounded terrible all the same.


I believe Germans and South Africans can say the word "nigger" and feel comfortable with it, but I expect more from you.

Even the word "negro" is not acceptable by most.

Of course, American blacks just prefer to be called "blacks".

The days of the word "coloured" is also over.

Three of my cousins have married English people but they are still very much of part of the family, and recently the local priests daughter and her cousin both married two black British guys and again they are still very much part of their family and another member of the same family also recently married a young Muslim girl, and he's also still very much part of his family...

(There are other examples but I couldn't be bothered to go through them all now..too many.... )

I think that parents would prefer their children to marry one of 'their own' but if they don't the majority just accept it, and welcome the son/daughter in law into their family....

You are correct, but that's mostly an identity thing, like giving them a place of origin, otherwise, calling someone black is not offensive.

i don't know about calling someone black, it seems so offensive, to categorize people by the color of their skin.
