Good for you Archbishop. one of the most sensible things you have said.
Yes, but despite what the fascist eoka-B supporter Toffoui tries to convince us of above, "elam" ain't a reg'd political party, according to the AG...
Here is a report from inCyprus in which we also learn that the AG is insisting on prosecuting these buggers. ...
"... NICOSIA – Attorney General Costas Clerides on Thursday lodged an appeal before the Supreme Court against the release of three members of far right organisation ELAM following their arrests in connection with a violent demonstration last month.
According to the announcement by the Legal Services, police are continuing to investigate the suspects and other individuals over their alleged involvement in a violent brawl with police outside a cultural centre in Limassol that disrupted a speech by former Turkish Cypriot leader Mehmet Ali Talat.
The AG also clarified that ELAM is not a registered political party as its original application for party status in 2010 was rejected by the Ministry of Interior for failing to meet requirements.
Former police chief Michalis Papageorgiou was ordered to step down from his position following criticism over the police handling of the demonstration. ..."
So that makes them a criminal gang!
