You are confused, Viewpoint. I don't support ELAM. What in any of my answers makes you think I support ELAM?

I think Talat is absolutely entitled to express his opinions without fear of intimidation. Now please retract your silly and baseless accusation

Retracted.

Thanks. Just for the record, I think ELAM do a disservice to the cause they think they represent. I disagree fundamentally with Talat but trying to stop him from speaking in a debate is just ridiculous. It just detracts from the content of his speech - which plenty of people were disappointed by anyway.

So we agree elam are animals out to cause trouble between the two communities.

I don't know what their motives are. But they are a tiny thuggish minority who don't deserve the attention they are getting. Unfortunately, the media are only too willing to sensationalise any incident which only encourages them further and makes them feel more important than they really are.

In short animals.

They are just hooligans on the fringes. Unlike the ‘Grey Wolves’ in the occupied zone they haven’t murdered unarmed protesters, don't get treated as national heroes, given government jobs or special access to the President of Cyprus.

Instead they get beaten up by the police, arrested and chucked in jail.

Stop undermining anyone who dares to stand up to Turks! Doing that is what has gotten us into this mess.

The hypocrisy of supporting Turkish protesters objecting to Turkish control and yet rubbishing GC objectors of Turkish control. Idiots!

Hi VP,

The best thing you can do with fools is to let them talk

The fools are the ones that want to listen to bozos like Talat, who can't include in a speech the guarantee of rights to a country's citizens...instead wants to build universities in the buffer zone. What will these universities teach to their students? How to invade a small country usurp its citizens rights kill its citizens and build a university in the dead zone. What sort of bullshit are you people trying to sell?

Fools are people like you who do not even listen to their own president. Who do you think let Talat in fool.

what kind of stupid Turkish logic is that? So what if he was allowed to speak, same old drivel crap as before. Violate human rights violate human rights violate human rights etc.. etc....bullshit!!!

His plan is to build a university in the buffer zone that will teach propoganda in Greek, English and Turkish. also to build a park where children from both sides can meet and play to understand each other but have seperate apolitical spheres across the divide. And to lift the embargoes.

He wasted 25 minutes of my life listening to him and probably irritated many others too.
