As to how far the plane would have flown, for example, the above chart is using the circles to indicate the maximum distance the plane could have flown to, but that is ONLY based on the amount of know fuel taken on board at Kuala Lumpur for the flight to Beijing with reserve fuel. Boeing 777 has a very long flight range capability on a single full tank of fuel, so how do we know more fuel was not pumped into the plane than what the official records show, not that any information has been released on how much fuel was on board MH370, because is has not been released as far as I know.
If the plane was going to be hijacked and taken to some far destination for whatever purpose, the plane could have flown much further distance than what the above circles indicating if it had more fuel than believed. It all depends who else was involved on the ground in the disappearance of flight MH370 in falsifying fuel records for MH370. This of course, if Inmarsat didn't really get any pings from the MH370s engines at all, which means starting from scratch again.

The search coordinators also may reassess the mathematical calculations used in trying to pinpoint the source of "ping" signals believed to be from the missing plane's flight recorders, as well as electronic signals the plane sent to a communications satellite, Beazley said.
Errm but according to "official sources" the Inmarsat calculations have already been reviewed and analyzed by Super Experts from the UK, Australia, US, Rolls Royce et al and everyone agreed that they were absolutely correct

Yes they are credible.
The passengers are however on an extended shopping trip to Lindon but won't answer their mobiles. They must be having too much fun!

Good, now you are starting to become more objective and open to other possibilities than just the MH370 crashing into the Southern Indian Ocean!
