What happened to flight MH370?

Feel free to talk about anything that you want.

The submersible was sent on its second mission after the first was cut short for breaching its 4500m limit.

The submersible had spent a 10 hours searching out of a possible 16. The submersible detected nothing of interest so far.

Should get a full 16 hours on the ocean floor this time round if all goes well!

I would expect to hear some news concerning the Oil Sample some time tomorrow.

That way they will never find it.... What do ya reckon :)

Maybe the ferry collided with the *missing plane* - because, it's nowhere to be found where they are searching ....

Submersible searching for MH370 resurfaces early for second day.

Nothing significant detected from latest analysis of data as underwater vehicle encounters further problems

The latest analysis of the data recorded from the vehicle found for the second day that there were “no significant detections”.

Are you pleased?

Really says a lot about you!

But I think you just say this for me thinking I will get upset. I wouldn't worry dear because they are just having a couple of technical issues. No one said it was going to be easy.

They also have access to the best technology on the planet and apparently a new AUV is on the cards and this one is also capable of retrieval with robotic arms.

The biggest idiot is YOU for sitting behind your computer and having the audacity to call those responsible for the most difficult search and retrieval in human history idiots!

If that wasn't enough for you to chew on, how about why there is no debris found at the site of this oil slick?

Sadly for the victims and their families, Kikapu, the whole exercise seems to have been sabotaged by foolish optimists that do not seem capable of evaluating evidence. It calls into question how we define "expert" these days. Mostly, people just know how to operate the fancy machines, but it says nothing about their ability to scrutinise results.

- Distressingly, whilst they play with their toys instead of using some brain, the real evidence is probably fast disappearing away.

Those who care can only wonder how long the powers-that-be will let them carry on in this manner, visibly avoiding exploring ALL the possibilities whilst they still could! Frustrating.

More than half of Malaysians polled last month believe that the ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) government has been hiding information about Flight MH370’s disappearance, according to a survey by The Malaysian Insider.

Australia's Prime Minister has said that the best leads in the search for Flight MH370 will run out in a week.

Tony Abbott said that search teams would have to regroup if it is not found within "a week or so" as the search continues to focus on an area where the black box is believed to be.

He told the Wall Street Journal: "We believe that search will be completed within a week or so.

"If we don't find wreckage, we stop, we regroup, we reconsider."

He continued: "My determination for Australia is that we will do whatever we reasonably can to resolve the mystery. If the current search turns up nothing, we won't abandon it, we will simply move to a different phase."

Notice the careful selection of words: "within a week or so", "whatever we reasonably can", "different phase".

How could the search be completed within a week when their own authorities have already said the submarines would need minimum 20 days to scan the bottom of the latest narrowed area. :?: :!:

If Australia is not too careful, they might be seen as trying to cover up the whole MH370 saga from the time they have claimed to have seen the 12m x 24m debris by their satellite a month ago, to finding an oil slick just few days ago, but not one piece of anything belonging to MH370 has been found.

The Aussies were either trying to do a good deed in leading this search with honesty and dedication or that they were acting as an agent for another country to mislead and deceive from day one, to look for a plane at a phantom crash site. I hope for their sake, it's the former and not the latter.

I don't think so.

The whole world seems relieved that Australia is in charge because it has been an extremely well run operation and all the communications from the JACC have been very sensible. That seems to be the consensus.
