However, the search for debris seemed to be a waste of money and resource. Obviously you can't just not do it, as people's lives are in turmoil and grief.
What worries me, is when, again, this ping search shows up with nothing. I'm quite a cynical person, black and white, a spade is a spade.
Why aren't the Americans joining in? Are they only good at War games? Are they hiding something?
I'm no expert of aviation, just Joe Schmo who parks her bike under a Lancaster bombers wings once a year. I'm not bothered where it's found or how. I'm interested in the peace that those families need.
I'm still not entirely convinced of the story being given so far........
There is a lot if cynicism out there. They have picked up multiple pings and it could be that MH370 didn't break up at all and it it did, that debris would have drifted a long way by now. They can work it out and look for this debris now that they know a highly probable crash site but the focus now has to be on the Black Box before the batteries die out.
Akso, the Americans are involved in the search in a pretty big way. They have loaned to Australia the ping detector and the semi submersible. There is a USN attachment on HMAS Success and a P8 Poseidon which will be the RAAF's Orion replacement in 2015. There should be a couple of USN Ships in the area as well by now.
