The media (and I mean quite credible ones) already started pushing things in another directions STU. I mean they do report the developments in Australia, but at the same time they do report other possibilities.

The Inmarsat story is highly questioned at Physics forums lately, Physics guys accuse them of having mislead the investigation. I mean look at what happens now, absolutely no debris anywhere and they keep on hearing Black box's sounds.
Yet on Physics forums one guy has analyzed them and he is absolutely certain they are fake. They are showing the world that they are indeed at 1 second intervals as they should be, that the frequency is at 37.5 Khz (actually not their spikes are at 32.3) but they forgot one very important parameter concerning the REAL BEACONS SIGNAL. The pulse length is too big and doesn't match the specs.

Here are the official Australian links for the signals:

I guess we have to wait a few more days, if nothing is found then we could all forget the plane is in the Indian Ocean.

Btw I 've read somewhere that the Americans offered to help the Malaysians from the very first day, actually they proposed them that the CIA takes over the case.
Sorry I usually keep copies of my links but I 've lost this one.
The Malaysians refused, and that pissed off the Americans, and CNN got the role of the contractor in agitating the Chinese relatives against the Malaysians. And look how the Malaysians ended up declaring the plane lost in the Indian Ocean without solid evidence, and totally defendant on the Anglo -Saxon brothers of the Americans to find the plane.

NB.Isn't it obvious the Americans still keep a distance from the whole affair? Is it because they got insulted from the Malaysians refusal? Or is it because they were not left alone to fabricate another 9/11 hoax?

Well well!

The search area has been refined further since the lates detection.

Looks like they are very close.

Another thing, there is no possibility any sub could covertly move in an area frequented by so many Orions.

Yep they are down to 1300 sq kms now.

That's about a tenth the size of Cyprus!

Bye bye boys and girls!

You mean as close as they were when they discovered the 23m wing of the plane?

Lots of good points from both sides I salute you, but whatever happened to the Plane the US/Russia/China and any others I believe know but won't say. I cannot believe for a moment that with all the technology we have today this plane could just disappear into thin air. It is a military/political issue and that's why everyone has STFU about it.

May those souls RIP wherever they are.

Time to move on me thinks

Unfortunately no one knows and that is because they do not monitor air or shipping movements unless there is reason to so.

They may do so in Afghanistan, Iran or North Korea but they certainly are not interested in any traffic elsewhere and even the States does not have the resources to dedicate to such triviality.

Whether it happens or not, they have decided to dedicate resources to find MH370 for as long is it takes. They have a pretty good idea of where it is now by the looks of it.

If it s not there, then the search area will be expanded and the search will cost more than any other in history. They are talking about this thing blowing out to Billions in the longer term. HMAS Success costs a million dollars a day alone.

The first signal, at 4:45 p.m. Perth Time on Saturday, lasted 2 hours 20 minutes.

The second, at 9:27 p.m. Saturday, lasted 13 minutes.

The third signal was picked up Tuesday at 4:27 p.m. That lasted 5 minutes 32 seconds.

The fourth, at 10:17 p.m. Tuesday, was 7 minutes long.

4 Signals so far of so much substantial duration and they have not yet been able to make triangulation and pinpoint the exact location of the source?
What prevents them from using the Doppler effect principle in this case?

Because the submarine that is sending these ping signals keeps moving!

Can you explain how the hell they are going to get around the Orions?

That is what they do? Hunting subs is their specialty.

I am far more inclined to listen and believe former ADF Air Chief Marshall Angus Houston.

If this guy is willing to put at stake his reputation and be so optimistic with an element of caution then that is good enough for me. I'm with him all the way.

The rest of you blokes are just crack pots!
