You two guys have done this thread to death. Lots of good points from both sides I salute you, but whatever happened to the Plane the US/Russia/China and any others I believe know but won't say. I cannot believe for a moment that with all the technology we have today this plane could just disappear into thin air. It is a military/political issue and that's why everyone has STFU about it.

May those souls RIP wherever they are.

Time to move on me thinks

What else could make your thinking spin B25?
it's like chess .It's the excitement of the search and the satisfaction that you thought of it.
That's the only reason I participate in this topic.

BRAKING NEWS: A Russian newspaper says the Plane is in Afganistan and all passengers are alive!

Accrording to BBC this Russian Newspaper "Moskovsky Komsomolets" ranks #2 in circulation and seems reliable!

http://edition.cnn.com/2014/04/09/world ... hpt=ias_c1

The first signal, at 4:45 p.m. Perth Time on Saturday, lasted 2 hours 20 minutes.

The second, at 9:27 p.m. Saturday, lasted 13 minutes.

The third signal was picked up Tuesday at 4:27 p.m. That lasted 5 minutes 32 seconds.

The fourth, at 10:17 p.m. Tuesday, was 7 minutes long.

4 Signals so far of so much substantial duration and they have not yet been able to make triangulation and pinpoint the exact location of the source?
What prevents them from using the Doppler effect principle in this case?

Because the submarine that is sending these ping signals keeps moving!

Not as far fetched as it sounds. Were the possible hijackers Turkic terrorists?

Last week 33 Chinese civilians were killed and 143 injured by ‘East Turkistan’ terrorists in an attack in South-West China. Now a plane carrying mainly Chinese civilians disappears apparently heading towards the Turkic Islamists' base in Pakistan/Afghanistan. Is this a coincidence?

If the target was China, then the most obvious suspect is the East Turkestan Islamic Movement, a Chinese Islamist terrorist group that operates in Pakistan and Xinjiang Province, a Muslim-majority province of western China. Its Turkic population is called Uyghurs and separatists refer to the autonomous province as East Turkestan. It had independence from 1644-1911 and 1944-1949.

The Chinese authorities periodically clash with the Uyghurs. While most are Sufi Muslims and are not considered radical, there are Islamist terrorists among them like ETIM. The group dramatically increased the scope of its violence this year.

I hope they are all alive and well (maybe not so well though). There is no need to "RIP" them before this is verified.

Interesting as there are several mutually exclusive conspiracy theories of supposedly Russian origin, including the Diego Garcia Story on the one hand with alleged US military involvement and the Afghan Hijack theory on the other....besides various other supposed explanations of varying rationality...
