NK is an international issue. It is relevant to Cyprus as well as every other country in the world. Why? Because they have the potential to spark something really big. Not to mention the fact that the HR injustice there is something we should all be concerned of.

Something really big eh... can't possibly be anywhere near the size of the human catastrophes the US creates every year!

The world’s problem Paphitis is not the poor people of N.Korea, not the poor people of Iran, and certainly not the poor people of Cuba.

You have nothing to fear from the poor and downtrodden…

Our problem is the not-so-poor military machine of the US and all the havoc they’re causing all over the world.

And btw Paphitis… do you think the Cyprus Mail is any different to the North Korean government’s stance? :)

On the CM every pro-Cypriot comment is deleted, IP addresses are banned, blocked and blacklisted in every way possible!

You’d be hard pressed to read a comment from a Cypriot… think about that… a “Cypriot” newspaper that contains no reader comments from Cypriots!

So who is pointing the finger at whom? :?

We have severe corruption and totalitarianism right here in our own back yard thanks to junk like the Cyprus Mail yet we point the finger at N.Korea? :)

Have another read:

Internet access is available in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (North Korea), but only permitted with special authorisation and primarily used for government purposes.

And even then it is filtered! They would not be able to access Cyprus Forum for instance.

Even if you get caught with SK soaps or an American Film, your off to the camps!

Mate, even the situation in Iran doesn't even get close to NK!

The US is super fine! I have no issue with them every time I visit. In fact I love the place.

They are a private business, and it is their website.

I don't agree with their stance politically, but in the RoC they are allowed to have a political viewpoint but in NK if you don't tow the line, you're f@#cked!

I agree with this. But there is not a great deal I can do about the Cyprus Mail and at least they aren't forcing people to subscribe to their bogus crap on fear of death.

They are "super fine" to you because they haven't destroyed your home, family, and country Paphitis.

But why don’t you ask a Syrian, Lebanese, Libyan, Iraqi, Afghani, Yemeni, etc of what they think?

Oh I forgot, they’re not human so they don’t count eh... and besides you've got yours so why worry about theirs! Ha?

I don't condone anyone's home being destroyed. But on the same token, neither does Al Qaeda and Taliban (Afghanistan) have the right to terrorise innocent Afghanis.

Syria - the US has hardly anything to do with it atm.

Lybya _ Qaddafi was a ruthless tyrant.

Look, no one is saying the US is a Saint! But I do like them as a country and could happily live there no problems.

Still, it does not excuse the criminality of NK which has gone beyond a joke.
