That's not true. At best, the most recent and trustworthy data suggests an 11% occurrence in Turks of the markers associated with 'Greek' but these markers are widespread across Europe and towards Iran, and can be found to be as high as 11% even as far away as in the Irish population.

Hi Gig, I haven't got such a big issue with Europe, I don't blame Europeans in general for racist colonialism, certainly East Europeans had nothing to do with it, but Cyprus is east of the Bosphorus, that makes it at least as Asian as it is European. Don't let your struggle against the Turkish occupation cut you off from your own roots.

Please cut it out with all your AKEL and Communist crap. Cyprus is as much part of Europe as Germany is. Our culture is aligned strongly with the values of Western Europe, North America and Australia.

When are you going to learn and let go of the Cold War relics. We are very happy with our identity and who we are and where we fit in as Cypriots within the EU.

Sure we got a lot of problems, but if the EU is ok for countries like UK, Germany, France, and Italy, then it is good enough for us as well.

It's all in your head. The West does not propup the illegal regime. In fact, they are helping the RoC now.

This is all AKEL crap. Not to mention the fact that AKEL led Cyprus or at least contributed significantly to the Coup from all the bullshit policies of non allignment which was a cover for closer ties to the Warsaw Pact during the Cold War.

And don't forget that the biggest Pariah State today is North Korea. A disgusting regime that has really fucked with the heads of ordinary Koreans. That is your legacy, so don't talk to us about the West.
