Pres A has wisely taken legal advise on the Joint Declaration from a couple of experts in the field.

They give legal opinions on the international aspects of the Declaration, how CY will fit in the UN and EU, and conclude that as the new state of affairs is an internal reconfiguration the terms of the Declaration don't lead to a new State.

They conclude that as no new State is being created (and Lowe makes it very clear), the Republic of CY continues with any new state of affairs.

Thanks, Bill. Interesting and important documents. Of course, the joint declaration will have to be implemented in a solution and that means Turkey and their puppets will also have to honour their commitments. We know that the Turkish attitude to law and contract is to just interpret things the way they want to. Which is why we need a watertight solution with no ambiguity and a clear implementation path...
