since you were not kind enough to translate this I will do it for you free of charge,Akiner

"You might have converts or mongrels in your family but we don't all have to be like you,Kibrisli, what is all this generalisation..."

Well,my dear Akiner...I have news for you.It is you who are finding it very hard to face the truth. The truth is that, from the time the Turkmens arrived in Anatolia in the form of Oguz Turks, continued later in the form of Selchouk Turks and ended with the Ottoman empire (some 1000 years of history),your genes and DNA are so watered down that you'll be lucky to have 1% of the original turkmen's genes left. That makes you very close to all the Balkan nations, and identical with the GCs.Why can't you face that?My brave serdengechti...

Quote:

You know the funny thing? The first sultan of the Ottoman empire was Orhan bey.His mother was Greek (or Bryzantine in those days),his wife was Greek (she was the daughter of the Bryzantine emperor). You can work out what their sons and daughters were. The Ottoman empire were ruled by the elite from the Balkans, most were born Orthodox and died orthodox. The only turks who lived in teh ottoman empire were the Turkmens who were farmers and shephards during peace time and soldiers in the front line during wars. Not many of them survived the centuries of conflict.Modern Greeks and Turks are the same people, let alone the GCs and the TCs.for the love of God,I don;t understand why all this hatred, why all this denial of history.Grow up people, get a life, learn some history, think about why we have to hate each other and who benefits from it.

Kibrisli, you are right, i am also a member at big human family when u consider the number of biological Adams of homo-erectus is limited...but What is the point of that,Do u think Oguz were pure when they sat on borders of Anadolu while before they were coming from a multi-communal area where they were butchered by Islamic horde several times-Mamluks keypoint- and was dominated by chinese pressure anyway, it is not my genes that make me turk and u know that much much better than me...
I am just saying your arguments about ottoman empire above is restrainless, get a contact to Ilber Ortaylı via mail to enlight yourself...
ps: bildiğin gibi dönme bir genetik terim değildir, çoğu zaman tamamen duygusal olan bir seçim meselesidir....

What is it with Cypriots and satin sheets?First Zan, now you Alexios...
I must try it sometimes if I remember what it was that we used to do :D
Won't the carpet or the kitchen bench do just as well?
It is a rhetorical question as I really don't remember what we are talking about here

It might be sacrilege but what a way to sin!!!
Hey,I got the answer guys and gals(not that there are many gals writing here). Why don't we all convert to Catholicism???We can always go to confession afterwards and get our sins absolved. That way all Cypriots will have the same religion. Two birds with one stone!
