Another shortsighted Turkish plot destined to backfire…

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Thanks Maximus good thoughts.
I just had a quick look at the news there was ex Foreign Minister Mrs Erato (how much i do admire the brains of that woman!)
She said it's all about security in the region and Turkey trying to catch up in the face of the Americans Vs Israel.
As she said, the Americans foresee that within the next 10 years the whole region (lebanon Israel Egypt Cyprus) will be like a new "Arab gulf" regarding oil and gas. They want absolute stability in the region and there are 2 candidates to secure that: Turkey and Israel. For the moment Turkey disqualifies because of her illegalities in Cyprus. Hence Turkey is running to CATCH UP in this race and the first thing she has to do is get rid of the Cyprob. Otherwise she will loose it all to Israel.
Nothing to do with the Nabuko pipeline (for which btw the original contract was for 15%), nothing to do with stealing our natural gas..

US and Israeli meddling inside Turkey?
The Turkish government is blaming the US and Israel for its battle with the Gulenists. This is a repeat of the accusations that the AKP government leveled about the foreign hand that was responsible for the Gezi Park protests. These claims can be dismissed as diversion tactics, but they do hold some weight.

Regardless of the nature of their ties to Washington and Tel Aviv, the Gulenists have worked to further US and Israeli objectives through their demands in Kurdistan. Nor is it a coincidence that the same people in the US and Israel that talk about dividing Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, and Iran also talk about dividing Turkey. The military option in Turkish/Northern Kurdistan that the Gulenists have desired would have negative effects on Turkey and the bordering countries. It would destabilize Turkey, polarize Turkey’s Kurdish citizens, and amplify the ethnic cleavages between Turks and Kurds. It short, it would catalyze the Kurds throughout the region into mobilizing against their governments and divide Turkey, which is a scenario that benefits the US and Israel.

Here's another report hard to believe but is true. The Noble-Delek-Ratio Oil consortium that exploits the Israeli Leviathan plot, has issued international Tenders for the sale of 7-10 billion cu.f of gas per year. And from all those international bids they got the most attractive offers came from TURKEY!!The consortium officials stated that selling the gas to Turkey via a pipeline THEY would build seemed to be the most profitable offer they got. That pipeline has to pass through Cyprus's EEZ though.Until now no contract has been signed

That could explain Turkeys change of stance?
If our politicians had half a brain between them they may seek to exploit this, but alas we are stuck with a bunch of peasants.

Who knows?
Something fishy goes on for sure.
Turkey's sudden change is unexplainable for the moment.
I actually fear Anastasiades more than the Turks. This guy likes to bring one catastrophe upon another on us.Starting from what he did during the Anan Plan period, to our total bankruptcy seal within 15 days after he took presidency. And then he shows up as if he was our "savior"
Who knows what he promised the Turks?
The whole thing doesn't fit....

In your mind, what sudden change has Turkey made and what doesn't fit?

I suspect America told him something along the lines of this:

"This is your LAST CHANCE to try and fool the Cypriots into giving up their sovereignty in exchange for your Turkish banana idea because if you screw up again not only will you be out of a job but we’re pressing ahead with the East Med hydrocarbons front because the Holy Land can’t be kept waiting forever…"
