Perhaps someone, resident in the north, can explain toparlaniyoruz and what Kudret Ozersay stands for.

Not you Lordo you obviously think it/he is a joke.

what on earth gave you that idea.

he is pro solution but he is fierce defender of the tcs, and if you think he will allow you to control the tcs you have another thing coming.

i was under the impression you boys were thinking he will be easy.

The kibrislis got stuck in the past Lordo, and I am afraid they will get the shock of their lives when they will finally get to know what it means to control yourself. Remember nothing will come free from Turkey or anyone else after a solution. And trust me the Kypreoi have absolutely no desire to "control" them. It seems to me we are getting near to that day....knock on wood

Another point that I think is relevant is that they will have to go through an accession process to bring themselves up to the EU's standards. Can they do it or will there be a porous border and joint citizenship's with Turkey?

That will be under the control of the federal State Maximus. And the Fed state will have it's own police for that purpose. Besides the kibrislis will get greedy in exploiting the opportunities that will arise, they won't allow trashy Anatolians come and ruin everything, robs their houses etc like they do now.

Their greed will not allow them to put forward anything that will be acceptable in the first place and I think they are too few to accommodate, by going so far as establishing a bi zonal federation. really.

You underestimate the Kibrislis my friend. They are as greedy, and as clever and as stupid, and as canny and as stuborn as we are. We are all Cypriots we have common attributes. They differ from the Turks the same way we differ from the Greeks.
They simply got stuck in the past, and got a little backwards because of more than 30 years complete isolation.remember until 2002 (?) they were living in an "open prison" They will need some time, that's all.

Another thing. The "TC federated state" will have the same old politicians and MPs coming and going representing them and maintaining positions of power for long periods of time. Like this Ozersay, he will be coming and going for decades.

There is not enough of them.

As if our own Omirou, and Papadopoulos and Klerides and Samson and sons and daughters are not going and coming already.
You have to vision what the BBF would really be my friend. Sure the Kibrislis will have political control of their fed part, that's what they always wanted to feel safe. Of course we all know the real Kibrislis today are only about 90K. Add as many settlers that will possibly stay. Add as many Kypreoi who will return. Add as many EU citizens who will reside there. That;s a total of almost 400K, it's enough population to pay taxes and sustain the Fed state. Who cares who the politicians would be, the politicians are there to crunch our money, the real economy comes from the rest of us hard working people.
After all how many real Kypreoi do you think we are at the free areas? Only about 500K. The rest are EU citizens and some Asians.

The point for us is that WE HAVE TO strike a deal with the Kibrislis otherwise they will all be gone, and then with who are we going to find a solution ?
