But I object to the principal of inclusion of the TCs and Turkish Settlers (because let's face it, he will give them a voice too) into EU matters whilst the Turkish occupation continues and whilst TCs and their Settler friends live comfortably and in total disregard of the criminality of their daily actions or inactions against the native Greek Cypriots.
Under these conditions, a vote for a TC will give a voice to Turkish Settlers and acceptance of the current situation. No one who wants to see the end of Turkish occupation should either stand or vote.
how will a vote for tc's give a voice to turk settlers? who will vote in these tcs? only gc tc or both?
The settlers will use any TC representatives as much as the TCs would - there will be no discrimiantion there. He is not standing exclusively for TCs or GCs is he? He is standing for "all Cypriots" and at the moment, we have been told all the Settlers are now "Cypriots" with "citizenship" etc. They may not be given the vote to elect, but once any TC MEP is in, they will not turn away any settlers claiming to be "Cypriot" and needing his help as EU representative.
Secondly, it sets a precedent for continuing with the status quo of Turkish occupation. There should be no voice for those under Turkish occupation which acts to compromise freedom for the whole island.
What is more, the TCs already have a lot of British MEPs supporting them (Hence why Bill cobbett has been corrupted). The message these British MEPs send out when they speak for TCs is that they want the division to continue, but the TCs want to be represented in the EU, on top. This is exactly what a TC MEP will have achieved!. Have a look at some of the things Graham Watson MEP has said for TCs. He calls them "Northern Cypriots, for goodness sake.
