Do you think that this will be his actual position in the EU parliament? Not even the GC MEPs dare to say such thing... you think he would? Maybe he says this to win the votes of GCs and then he could make a u-turn? OR maybe if he is elected the Turks could blackmail him and force him to adopt the standard Turkish position?

Mr Levent does qualify his statement when he says... "... Η πρώτη μου επιλογή δεν είναι η διζωνική ..." and Mr Levent has been jailed and his offices shot up for not taking the usual Turkish position.

News that Sener Levent is terribly unhappy with the disenfranchisement of some 20,000 CYs of the Occupied Areas and is asking for a delay in the voting and is also threatening to take the matter to the ECHR.

These CYs have the Republic's ID Cards but have been disqualified from voting for not making over an address up there.

This reduces the number of potential voters from up there to just under 59,000.

Mr Levent has published a 20-page list of some of those who will be unable to vote, including one of his own off-spring.

i wish i knew the voting options, what a ballot looks like; i understand that a voter must choose a Party, and must choose an Individual, but there are six representatives...

Then you can also put a cross by the names of either one or two individual candidates, if you wish.

Presumably, if you do not nominate any individual candidates, you are deemed by default to have preferred the top two names on the list. Is this correct?

Yes, it is a cynical view, but I am sick to death of these politicians all trying for votes to get better jobs and salaries and benefits and I don't believe for a single moment that they give a rats ass about the average man on the street. My voting days are over they can all go F themselves. What pisses me off even worse is the fact that the RoC are even giving the occupation regime a hand into the EU FFS. Seriously we do need a vigilante group to take these MFs out.

Dear dthkie Bill, why do you think I should vote for Şener Levent rather than 'Action' (ΔΡΑΣΙ/EYLEM)? The latter appeal to me as the only platform fielding candidates from both communities.
