Yes, yes, yes... perhaps we can move on to see what CY Sener Levent has to say about Guarantor Powers.

Well, he says this ...

Which, briefly and for the benefit of "g"IG especially, goes something like...

Guarantor Powers

Levant says we need a solution without Guarantor Powers and that the guarantors have a criminal past and can't be accepted as "guarantors" in a new solution.

Further, that the guarantor powers must be tried, held to account and to make over compensation to CY.

He finishes by saying that to date, the EU doesn't inspire any confidence as a guarantor power.

..."radical left" because he wants to change things, because he can root out corruption and expose it, because he is for a far greater Freedom, for people, like telling it as it is for years so publicly, for Truth, direct, the facts, merit, and a debate which may provide thinking that is completely new, above a dogma (or a set of them) most refined or a plutocracy "theirs" just like the "other side" that has one, even as a politician (if it is as power a corruption) he is more likely to do what is good for Cypriots in general to please his own interest. indeed, and in the future, i too believe he has the skills to lead, even as President of the Republic.

I think he is down as radical left because what he is saying is similar to saying that if someone breaks into your home, violates your human rights but through the force of arms and time can become a member of the family which will bring peace.

what usually happens is to catch the intruder, arrest and prosecute.

maximuimmu you are such an ass, you cant even see friendship in a person who is more gc than you because he is a tc. you wonder why you lost 37.5% of the island to the terks.

you have to accept people who are born in cyprus as cypriot no matter where their grandfathers came from. you is like fish out of water boy.

He will never do that because he will be representing the illegal Turkish mainlanders that he will see settled permanently and keep him in power forever more. Also, Turkey will have him instantly imprisoned for "Insulting Turkishness" (Article 301) and he will be dealt with like the thousands languishing in their prisons.

Dthkia Gig..what are you saying? Are you implying that after he is elected he will change his tune and support Turkey and it's settlers, when all along he has been against both?

He doesn't have to change his tune! He's already supporting what Turkey has done by willingly giving citizenship to so many Turkish settlers - who inevitably will fulfill Turkey's objective -with Sener's help - to change the demographics of Cyprus towards a Turkish majority.

gurl, i'm sorry you are stretching it a little too far, makes me think your extremism is as much a cause of a settler population that is growing (if it is, which i doubt). you must have the wrong Sener, this is not Denktash's little brother, he is a bane to the north, surely you can appreciate his editorials and columns, over the years he has always represented what is good in his craft, it is lucky for us as Cypriots to hear (quite frankly, still alive), and to have the opportunity to give back, with a vote. i hope you remain undecided until the very last minute, i can't imagine Gig that you would vote for a Party, except of course the Animal Party (Europe can use one), given the choices there are, Sener in my mind is the best choice otherwise, Cyprus, and Europe, can use men, like him, you may recall at the last minute, as a Cypriot six will be sent, who needs this vote (your vote), the most.

That's because Turkey is to blame; he is stating nothing more than the fact. It becomes empty rhetoric, though, when he moves on to capitalize from whatever he "blames" them for by stating he will legalise their actions!

I'd rather he said, "I don't care who is to blame: all the illegal Turkish settlers have to be resettled in Turkey!" Now that man I would vote for.

That's stretching it somewhat, I think, because if one uses the same logic the RoC legitimized the invasion by agreeing to open the Green line, which in essence recognized that the Tc are governing themselves in a federated state and the Tc recognize and legitimize the RoC's international status(UN, EU)etc...everything is screwed up and defies logic, where's logic in refugees visiting their homes in the occupied areas, sitting down and having a coffee with a Tc that's living in the refugees house and then shaking hands, getting in his car and driving back to his govt subsidized temporary housing until he can return to his house where he just returned from?...that's the logic of the situation in Cyprus and Levent is doing his best to work around it in his own way. You can't have precise wording and gestures, like you want, it's offensive to Cypriots.
