You said its where laws begin but these text you have provided are not laws. You acknowledge.

The ECHR is a court of law. Show me the law adopted by the ECHR on illegal settlers brought over as a result of a foreign occupation and their right to citizenship in that (European) country.

Bye bye Max!

It goes beyond statelessness so read it carefully.

There is nothing there, pick out your law for me. I am getting tired of this too.

Read it! There is plenty there and you have not read it.

Read how the ECHR will deal with this and what they would do to the RoC with respect to violating individuals freedoms.

It exists alright and what you suggest for persons born in Cy will literally cost the RoC Trillions in compensation!

Look Paphitis,

If you want to further your argument and convince me, present your case clearly and get to the point. Please pick out your law for me.

Do it from the ECHR if you can.

Furthermore, the Geneva convention is an applicable international law, which exists but you choose to disregard it now. Why?

The Geneva Convention does not apply to individuals born in Cyprus or to those that have married a Cy Citizen.

You cannot deny the basic Human Rights of these individuals, particularly those born in Cyprus, and there is not a single International Law or Convention (which by the way is not International Law) that will allow the deprivation of these Human Rights!

yes it does, if they are illegal settlers or born to illegal settlers.

But just for the hell of it and out of interest before I scoot, why or how is my suggestion going to cost the RoC Trillions in compensation?

No the Geneva Convention does not consider those born in occupied territories as settlers. Sorry!

The ECHR and Euro Technocrats would have a field day. This would be a Lawyer's dream come true.

Paphitis, why or how is my suggestion going to cost the RoC trillions in compensation.

So what you are saying is the children of illegal settlers, born in occupied territory are entitled to citizenship in the country their country occupies and their parents not?

This is getting delirious.

Bloody oath. If they choose to stay, then no one can force them out and furthermore they have a birthright claim to citizenship and if that is not granted they would be able to file in the ECHR!
