I am also thinking were to place my children in September. I am currently in Cyprus but the rest of my family is moving here next March. We are moving to Limassol (near Trachoni) next month and i have already started looking at different options. Practically it suits me to place my sons in SPS.

I have two questions for SPS if anyone from here can help me out. 1st of all i have been on the Ministry of Education and Culture website and i cannot see the school as being registered under the Cypriot law as it clearly states that ''Permission to operate a Private School and a Private Institute in Cyprus can be given to natural or legal persons of a Cypriot nationality or citizens of other member states of the EU. Non EU citizens can also establish a private school upon the approval of the Minister of Education and Culture''.

Second, my youngest son is diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome, and i have heard that SPS offer a more specialised approach to these children with a more ''individualised'' approach. Has anyone heard anything about this.

The big question one must ask is if American Academy in Limassol- no connection with the one in Larnaca- will reopen after the long break......I hear some sort of legal action involving the premises might be happening.....debts are reportedly large.

Just heard a very scurrilous rumour that some of mothers of some pupils of one private school might be paying the school fees on a weekly basis in kind rather than cash, which might account for part of the cash flow problem....
