What about Turkish Cypriots who have had to live under inhumane embargoes for over thirty years

Turkish Cypriots choose to live under those embargoes by supporting the foreign occupation of the north of Cyprus. Turkish Cypriots have been granted the use of ports in the free areas like Greek Cypriots. so whats your problem?

What about Greek Cypriots that have been ethnically cleansed from their ancestrol home for the last 31 years!?

Do you use the illegal airport of Larnaca built on stolen TC land? If so how dare you give moral lessons that it is wrong for others to use "stolen" property? Next time you fly through Larnaca please at least think about the poor TC owner who has been illegally dispossesed and is denied his most fundamental right to live on the land where he was born

How was this stolen Turkish Cypriot land? Has it been PROVEN (which is different from an accusation) in a viable court that the Larnaca airport is built wholey on Turkish Cypriot land. Has it been proven that Greek Cypriots forced the aparant Turkish Cypriot off the land...or did he go with the Turkish Cypriot flow at that time and decide to leave. Can we stop these proposturous accusations of like this and so called 'massacre' of Turkish Cypriots unless their is some kind of credible judgement on the truth. Why have I not heard of any such Turkish Cypriot taking the RoC to the ECHR or something like that. Infact, I REALLY want this to happen...because Turkish Cypriots seem to make some ridiculous accusations in the past and I find it hard to beleive them at time. Maybe if there werent so many lies, like what was being written on slogans at that ATCA march in Wood Green earlier this year...then I might be inclined to believe. BG Turk, you seem to belive in your head that it was the Greek army who invaded Cyprus...I think you need a reality check.

Before you continue your moral rantings, please make sure your moral standing is firm enough. Even today the Republic of Cyprus in which you are residing. is denying TCs the right to return to their properties, and to date not a single turkish cypriot has been able to reclaim his property despite being an "equal" citizen of that republic. The TRNC is the only shelter TCs have, as many of the turkish villages in the South are levelled with the groud. Not only are they denied their right of return, in most cases TCs have nothing to return to.

Are you sure that TC have no right of return to their properties? I think you will find it is TC who refuse to move to the legitimate part o Cyprus who are declined...which I think is fair. Have you BEEN to Cyprus BG Turk? You DO KNOW that there are TC living in the south dont you. You DO KNOW that in the RoC eyes...all title deeds from before the invasion are legitimate and therefore, see TC rightful owners of there property. Infact, do you want to weigh up the rights of TC in the south right now and GC in the north. Infact, if the 'TRNC' is such a shelter to TC...then how come so many have left it. How come so many TC dislike the treatment that they receive from the Turkish military in the north. How come there are villages in the north that have been invaded by Turkish colonials that TC are unwelcome in. I think you need to face some reality checks or at least stop looking at one sided websites.

Mainsource, the fact is that, despite your distorted interpretaions of historical facts, TCs prefer to live with the 'occupying' army than you cuddly, love 'n' peace GCs. What does that say to you?

what distorted interpretations!? lol Quote which part was a distorted interpretation or are you jumping on the bandwagon.

As for TC prefering to live with the occupying army...are you sure of that? Because I know Turkish Cypriots who cant stand the Turkish army or presence there. As for the ones that prefer living with the occupying army rather than Greek Cypriots...well they better get used to a change.

Why arent they all flooding south you only have 2500 Tcs and 2000 of them are Gypsies. If TCs cant stand the north and its current administration they are free to go live "RoC" if life here was so bad they would be coming accross in thousands, I dont know anyone who has moved south after April 2003, maybe a few who have committed crimes and cannot stay in the north.

Yes, true, many Tcs would rather live in a 'normal' state without the Turkish Army on their soil but if you think that it is so bad for them then why don't they move south now? I'll tell you why, because they feel more at ease for themselves and their families in the safety of the north. Simple. Otherwise, as you say, they could exercise their legal rights under the RoC constitition and reclaim their land and houses even if GCs are living in them and even if they have been demolished and they even have the right to vote, don't they?

No, they are emigrating off the island.

VP, its people like you, Zan and BG Turk who are killing off the Turkish Cypriot identity from Cyprus, not Greek Cypriots. Its you who is welcoming the Turkish colonials with open arms in order to distort them natural demographics of the island...but all the while not even thinking about your own identity (well, I exclude BG from that) and how Turkish Cypriotness is dying.

Settlers are not killing the TC identity, in fact they are contributing to it. There are many bulgarian turk settlers in Cyprus who are proud to call themselves bulgarian turkish cypriot.

Progressive people celebrate and value diversity, shauvinists despise it.

BgTCs are not "colonial settlers", but political or economical immigrants, who are in the TRNC not with the intetion to colonize, but because circumstances have forced them to be there.
When GCs start returning as well, added to the Kurdish settlers and the Brittish expats, the TRNC will probably become the ethnically most diverse country in the Mediteranean.
