Exciting video footage has been released of the latest brawl in what passes for a parliament in Turkey.

Oh... Ankara!, we have a problem....

Err, whilst we try to get around the blocks on the Internet in Turkey, we'll go to an interlude...

Shades of Nazi Germany creeping in:

“At that point, he felt victory was in his grasp and let loose the brown shirts more than ever before. Pitched battles were fought with his political enemies – not only metaphorically but literally. German politicians engaged in fist fights on the floor of the Reichstag. The Nazis terrorized the opposition. It was open hooliganism.”

It is curious that it is always CHP members who end up in hospital.

More Brown-Shirt style tactics in evidence with a person who unfolded a placard protesting against corruption at an AKP (Erdoğan's party) rally being handcuffed and beaten with clubs for at least 45 minutes by party stewards. These people appear to be above the law, just like the Nazi Brown-Shirts were.

The corruption scandal makes its way to the occupied areas:

The breakaway regime in the middle of a new economic scandal in Turkey

Turkish daily Taraf newspaper (03.04.14) reported that thousands of fake bank accounts are said to be opened by the Ziraat Bank, which is one of the three state banks in Turkey.

According to the paper, around 500 million Turkish Lira were stolen during the last two years using 4.541 credit cards which were issued by Ziraat bank. The paper cites information according to which these credit cards were reserved by bureaucrat families which are close to the Turkish government.

Taraf argues that the limit for each credit card was 50 thousand Turkish Lira and adds that most of the cards were issued by the branch office of Ziraat Bank in the breakaway regime.

Corruption, corruption and more possible corruption.

News that the EU is launching an investigation in to possible misuse of funds in its Education Funds for Turkey and in to possible tender rigging and illegal recruitment at Turkey's EU Ministry.

Now, who was in charge of the EU Ministry until very recently...??? (Answer underlined below)...

"... The European Commission has confirmed it has launched an audit of the Center for European Union Education and Youth Programs in Ankara over claims that Turkey's Ministry of EU Affairs was involved in the illegal use of EU funds, saying if the allegations are found to be true, financial penalties will follow, including suspending payments for the Erasmus+ program in Turkey.

The Taraf daily claimed on Monday that the European Commission has launched an investigation into claims of tender-rigging and illegal recruitment at the EU Ministry's National Agency (Ulusal Ajans) while former EU Affairs Minister Egemen Bağış -- who was implicated in a corruption scandal that became public on Dec. 17, 2013 -- was in office... Video of a very brave protester holding up a banner during a pro-Erdogan rally, which read "... HIRSIZ VAR ..." - " Here is a Thief ", which is becoming a common anti-Erdy taunt amongst anti-corruption protesters.

Protester gets roughed up for his troubles...

Staff of the AKP-run Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality seen covering over graffiti on AKP election posters. The word ‘thieves’ is still visible.

I'm waiting for an statement from Erdogan saying this soon.

“People have gotta know whether or not their Prime Minister is a crook. Well, I’m not a crook”!
