The “bi-zonal, bi-communal federation” you hear about was a daft 1975 Makarios suggestion; I’ve got the official document for the proposal somewhere in my CyProb collection.

So do not assume that it was imposed by the UN and that the RoC has an obligation to abide by it!

As the good book says… “the lord giveth and the lord taketh away” !

Get Real, REALLY! -
“the lord giveth and the lord taketh away” !

Here, let me Challenge you on that. I bet you my house which is only a few minutes walk from the Northern part of the Varosha that your Bogus President will have to Abide by the Bi-Communal, Bi-Zonal agreement and IS NOT able to OFFICIALLY deviate from its parameters. The day that I read in an Official News Report that President Anastasiades has Officially declared that the Greek Cypriots will not agree to a Bi-Communal, Bi-zonal federation, I will, to you, send you an email to agree to a place of meeting along the Cyprus Cease-Fire line, remove myself from this forum and hand over the Title Deeds of my 6 bedroom house - which is an Original Republic of Cyprus Deed worth Hundreds of Thousands of English Pounds.

Why would I risk such a bet? Because the moment Mr Anastasiades declares such a withdrawal would be the moment TURKEY does a U-Turn on the Greek Cypriots and Annexes the Northern part of the island.

Go on....persuade your Greek Cypriot leaders and put your money where your mouth is. The High Level agreement signed by Makarios is there until a Comprehensive Federated Bi-Communal, Bi-Zonal deal is secured and will never be withdrawn by any Greek Cypriot leader as they know the risks. If you believe anything otherwise, then push your leaders to make it official and you will be the proud owner of my Famagusta Home that I have had in my family since 1963. The IPC is right at my doorstep, a simple 10 minute walk!

Yes you would because you never learn anything.

I gave you the legal aspect (UN quote included) of why annexation of Cypriot territory is impossible without the RoC's consent probably last year or the year before, but you forgot all about it and went back to fantasies.

Ah well...
