...excuse me, there is one God, and i hope that Greeks can demonstrate the Universal Truth of it, with the courage to stand by their Principals, and the infinite power of Love, which is for them, the way. only a coward is not welcoming to others, and who does not take some pride in their ability to do so. one can hope, like ordinary people everywhere, that this sense that we are adversaries, mortal enemies, is a fraud. and whether Turkey holds the Orthodox Church hostage in a withering grip or not, it does not mean that a Greek should become a "Greek" no different to a "Turk".

Sadly, such a gesture (if it comes to fruition) would be seen to signify a stamp of approval to the ideology behind Islam - which is the enemy of the freedoms and equality that we embrace as part of our Greek/Western principles.

- If done under duress to protect our heritage in our (for now) captured lands, it signifies our weakness to brave the storm and Turkish blackmails .... or, it might represent rising to a higher ideal of placing our religious heritage above present pride ... I can't decide which.

We need Nick Griffin to speak out on this ...
